Precious. Little. One

I get inspired to scrapbook in a variety of different ways.  It could be by a scrapbook kit, some pictures that I have piled up, or by the amazing LO's done by other scrappers!  Today I was totally inspired by Sketch 242 over at Scrapbook Challenges!  One of the CT gals over there did a LO and I thought, "Hmmm, I could totally do that!"  Instantly I knew what kit I was going to use (Be Still My Heart by Susan Godfrey Designs and Studio RA Designs) and exactly what picture as well!!

So here is the sketch created by Cheryl over at Scrapbook Challenges (I was particularly inspired by Natalie's LO!!):

Through Christ

Here's another LO using the collab kit Be Still My Heart by Susan Godfrey Designs and Studio RA Designs!  I had a lot of fun making this new layout and this one just happens to be my 60th LO for the year!!  I'm pretty amazed that I've already scrapbooked that much already!

I love scrapbooking my little sister!  Thanks to my Step Mom, I have a ton of beautiful pictures of her!

New kit - Be Still My Heart

Susan Godfrey has just released a new collab kit with Royanna Lea Fritschmann (Studio RA Designs)!  This is a huge kit with a full Alpha and number set, over 140 elements and over 50 different papers!

I'm super excited to use this kit!  I've been waiting for the new mega kit to be released and here it is!!

This is one of my layouts:

With this layout I had fun turning some of the papers into velum.  The paper border behind the photo mat was not only turned into velum but given some extra texture to the design.  I also modified the alpha set to match my velum theme.  I glitterized the border on the alpha and then turned them to velum as well.

Here's a taste of the new Mega Collab kit and as you can see it is a HUGE kit:

P365 Challenge Week 5 and 6

I've continued to do pretty well at taking at least 1 picture each day to do this challenge.  I'm excited to see the final version of this scrapbook and I love how each day gets at least a sentence or two of acknowledgement.  My hope is that not only will I chronicle our everyday life but that I will improve my ability to take better pictures!

For the monthly title page I've decided to make sure I have a picture of my DH and I (and our son who's supposed to arrive at the end of next month).  With that said, I still have to get this family picture for this month so the Feb Title page has yet to be completed.

Here are weeks 5 and 6:

2 LO's for A New Kit - Sweet Romance

Well Susan Godfrey created not only one beautiful kit but two this month!!  Check out Sweet Romance (which happens to have all of my favorite colors - absolutely love it)!  Don't miss out on this kit or True Love; they're both 50% off until February 19th!

So here's a peak at what's in this new kit.  There are also matching glitter styles and a really cute Alpha set.

Here's what I was able to create using Sweet Romance:

On this layout I modified the frame slightly by adding a little bit of an inked look to the frame.  I thought it would go well with the awesome brown textured paper in the back!  Did I mention that I love these colors??

3 LO's for a New Kit - True Love

While I may feel like I haven't really been scrapping this month I must say that I truly have!!  I must feel that way because I finished several layouts for a couple of Susan Godfrey's new kits and haven't been able to post them until today!  You're going to love these beautiful kits which as usual offer lots of variety that can be used with all different types of photos!

So here is the new release True Love (currently 50% off until Feb 19th!!)
Sold at Susan Godfrey Designs Shop

And here are the layouts that I created using this beautiful "Valentine's Day" kit.  As you can see there is really A LOT of different things that you can do with this 1 kit!

The black paper in this LO was created by simply filling a paper with black and then adding a filter to create texture.  I then used the design in the red paper as a sort of overlay to place on top of the black paper.  The title of the page is actually from a picture I took of a wall hanging at the mall and then cut out using the wand tool.

In this LO I modified the cute font that Susan created by filling the white border with paper from her kit.  I liked the light green because I wanted to bring more attention the the green items on the page.

On this LO I simply added an inked look around the edges of the paper.

Week 38 - Happy Birthday

Well, I didn't make my Page A Day Challenge in time!  = (  I had 3 more pages left and just felt totally uninspired with them for some reason.  Maybe I just needed a break.  In the meantime, I've continued my P365 which will be up soon and some new pages for Susan Godfrey's two new kits (True Love and Sweet Romance) which will be released on the 12th.

Here is one of the 3 layouts left in my 52 Blessings Challenge from last year.

Border: Border It from Weeds & Wildflowers Designs;
Fonts: Digs My Hart and PartybyTom

This layout was completed using Susan Godfrey's Birthday Boy kit.  I cut the cakes out of one of her papers to make the border.  The title was created by using the font PartybyTom and then filling with with paper and glitter from the Birthday Boy kit!  I absolutely love how the title turned out!!

Fellow Creative Memories Scrappers...

Hello to my fellow Creative Memories Storybook Creator Plus 3.0 Scrappers out there,

So many digi scrappers out there are using other programs that sometimes I forget that I am not alone.  I love seeing what other CM scrappers create and get super excited when I find out that someone is using the same software.

Well if you're like me you would like the software to do pretty much all of the things that other platforms can do and for the most part I've found this to be true.  However, I've found myself wondering how to do things and just having a gut feeling that it was entirely possible.

So let me cut to the chase now.  I have found the absolute most amazing and wonderfully eye opening website EVER (as far as this software goes).

Pixels2Pages.net is a run by a group of independent CM Consultants who have tons and tons of how-to videos with tips and tricks and short cuts!  I spent the whole night just watching these videos!!  If you scrap with CM you have to check this place out.  It's the only thing online that I've been able to find like it!

Happy Scrapping!

Big Valentine's Day Sale!

For all of my fellow scrapbookers who love sales you have to check this one out!!  50% off of EVERYTHING in Susan Godfrey Design's Shop until Valentine's Day!!  PLUS, be on the lookout for two new Valentine's Day kits!!

P365 Challenge Week 3 and 4

Just finished up the month of January for Project 365.  I'm really enjoying this project this year even though in ways it's more involved than the 52 Blessings Challenge I'm finishing up.  The great thing about P365 is that it's documenting each day whereas the 52 Blessings only focused on one event each week.  Also, this challenge will keep me more accountable for taking pictures (I missed A LOT of days last year).  And I think my favorite thing about this challenge is the fact that with the templates from Weeds & Wildflowers Designs I don't have to sit and think about how to do my LO AND there's continuity throughout the whole year!!  So yeah, I'm super excited about my final product!!

So here is the rest of January...6 more pages...
