P365 Challenge Week 7 and 8

Wow!  This has been a LONG time coming!  I mean really it's almost August and I'm just finishing up February! But I'm still working at which is what matters I suppose.

So here are the final pages for the month of February:

In order to not get too far behind I've already put my pictures in for this month and all I have to do is put the papers and embellishments where I want them AND do the journaling.  But I still have to work on March-June!!  I need to get busy...

Bear Paw Festival

At the beginning of this month we went to the Bear Paw Festival in Eagle River.  It was a small festival with a local parade.  It was no Rose Parade but it was still fun to take Jesse to his first ever parade!  It was even more fun because we got to meet up with a huge group of our church friends and their little ones.

When I saw Inspired Designs by Crystal's new kit, Bonfire at Twilight, I knew that I wanted to do a LO with my husband because of all of the masculine colors.  I just knew that the pictures of him and our baby would be perfect for this kit!

July desktop wallpaper

Over at Faith Sisters they have a monthly desktop wallpaper challenge.  Each month the host puts up a template to help you create a wallpaper as your computer background!! I know that there's only a few days left in this month but when I saw this challenge I just had to participate!

Here's what the template looks like:
As you can see it comes with the template and several calendar options and July word art as well!

Here's what I came up with and will have as my wallpaper for the next few days:

It's PJ Time LO

Yup that's right, another challenge over at Sunshine Studio Scraps!!  This one is the template challenge and who doesn't like a template every now and then??  So here's a look at the template that I got to play around with this month...

And using a kit that I used for my "Huntin' For Easter Eggs" LO, I created this one (and I think it really shows the diversity of this kit)...

July Highlights LO

Over at Sunshine Studio Scraps I participated in the July "Capture Challenge".  I was challenged to share 3 things that my family has done so far this July.  The neat thing about this challenge is that you can just post pictures or do a layout with the pictures.  Also each challenge you participate in give you a point and after 12 points you can get coupons to the Sunshine Shop!!  So far with this month and last month I'm at 8 points!

I chose to show my pictures in a layout, may as well get some scrapping done right!  I wanted to do something simple and just show off the events and the story.

I used the kit "Family Forever" by Inspired Designs by Crystal (you can find her amazing stuff over at Sunshine Studio Scraps!!)  I think her kit goes perfectly with these pictures!

Huntin' For Easter Eggs

I have a few friends who take amazing pictures and have beautiful kids!  Every time I look at their pictures I can't help but think how great they'd look on a scrapbook page!  Well when Inspired Designs by Crystal came out with her new kit "Love Notes" I just knew I had to ask my friend to let me scrap with her pics!  My friend Christie was kind enough to let me use pictures of her little 2 year old on her Easter egg hunt!

Sweet Dreams LO

I've been trying to do a few of the monthly challenges over at Sunshine Studio Scraps the past couple of months.  One of the challenges is called "Here, There, and Everywhere".  This is basically a random challenge that the monthly host comes up with.  With it being July, it's no wonder that this months challenge is to scrap using red, white, and blue.

For my LO I scrapped a picture of my son taken when he was 1 week old.  I journal about the joys and difficulties of that first week, thus making this LO super special to me!

To create this LO I used the kit Family Forever by Inspired Designs by Crystal and her Word Art Bedtime: Pt 1

Today

June 28th my husband and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary!  However, due to it landing on a weekday we actually celebrated on the following weekend!  To celebrate we went to Benihana (it's becoming sort of a tradition now I guess) for the all you can eat sushi...yummmm!!

It was also a big day for another reason - it was our first time out with out our little baby Jesse!!  I took it really well!  I didn't cry and I didn't call my parents to see how he was doing (although I use super tempted to call)!  Jesse did great and didn't cry once!  He's such an easy going baby; praise the Lord!

So onto my layout...Inspired Designs by Crystal just released this new kit "The Good Life" and I knew that I just had to scrap our anniversary pics to show off our good life!!

Here's a look at IDBC's new kit!

Splishin & Splashin

I did this LO using Rainy Day Adventures: Blue from Inspired Designs by Crystal.  I love how well it works for bath time pictures of (of which I have plenty of little baby Jesse)!  One of my favorite things about this LO is how I cut out the clouds and gave a few of them some shadow.  Don't know why but I thought that was a cool touch!

I'm partial but I do believe I've got one cute little boy!!  ;)

Rain Rain Go Away

This double page LO is of my little sister.  The pictures of her playing with an umbrella inside were just too cute and went perfectly with Inspired Designs by Crystal's new kit Rainy Day Adventures: Pink.

Here are the 2 pages side by side:

Sketch 252 Two Pager by Sookie Francisco at Scrapbook Challenges

Here is a look at the awesome sketch that I got from Scrapbook Challenges!  I cannot believe how perfectly this sketch went with these pictures and this kit!!  If you want amazing free sketches Scrapbook Challenges is the place to go, they literally have hundreds to choose from!

 And here they are individually:

Man this was a super fun kit to work with.  I have a bunch of pictures of my little sister that would work perfectly with this kit so you may be seeing a few more layouts with this kit!!  Here's what it looks like:

I also used the coordinating word art for this kit as well!
