I can't believe that my baby is now 3 years old! He amazes me each and every day! Last year his birthday was so sad - we had just found out that we were going through our second miscarriage in less than a year and it was such a heart wrenching time for us. Poor Jesse basically missed his birthday altogether. Thankfully, he was just turning 2 and really had no concept of what was going on or what he had missed. In spite of the lack of a birthday party, his birthday essentially lingered for nearly a month as we ended up celebrating in little ways for him. This year he got his birthday celebration!! He absolutely loved his special day and definitely knew it was all about him! Even though it was a small gathering it was absolutely perfect!
