Lucky Day LO

For Christmas I got a new camera!  I've been drooling over it for the longest time and finally we found a smokin' hot deal on it and there you go, I've got a new camera in my hands.  Only problem is that there is a huge learning curve.  I was already messing with the manual functions on my ancient camera so it's not like it's completely foreign.

So, anyways, I've been hesitant to take my camera out into the freezing cold of Alaska especially since I still don't have a camera case!  On this day it was sunny and "warm" so we decided to go play in the snow!  My only problem was figuring out the settings for my dslr!!  I ended up getting a few photos that I loved but a lot of them turned out way over exposed from all of the snow.

When I saw this template I couldn't help but think of the photos I took that day and I just love how all the bright white of the snow actually works in this layout!!  My not so snazzy photo was saved!!

Lucky Me LO

It is now March!!  March has a special meaning for me now as that's the month my amazing son was born on!  My little guy is going to be two years old and I just can't believe it!!  When I saw JoyLynn's new kit "Lucky Me", I began scrolling through pictures of my son (usually how I get inspired for a layout) and I found these adorable pictures that I had taken of him when he was just a couple weeks old!!  I knew as soon as I saw them that I had to use them with this sweet kit!

Here's another fun St. Patty's Day kit collection - this time from ViolaMoni!  I love the Buffets over at Ginger Scraps and how I can mix and match kits that have the same theme and color scheme (and are super cheap)!  These papers from ViolaMoni would be great paired up with some awesome patterned papers too!

Library LO

We LOVE books at our house!!  Even our little one adores books!!  He will be content sitting in his little chair "reading" book after book!  One of his favorite places to go is the library!  We try to go each Wednesday for the "Lap Sit" where the librarian reads several children's books and sings songs with the kids.  Afterwards, he gets to play with blocks and their felt board.  He's such a good little guy there too; I just love the picture of him in this LO where he's walking ahead of us with his hands behind his back!

Funner LO & a Freebie

I absolutely love the grunge papers that JoyLynn of Blue Heart Scraps created with this new kit "A Little Crush"!  I saw the template pack from this kit and knew immediately that I wanted to rotate it and spread the photo clusters to the edges!  I just love the way it turned out and how boyish this turned out in spite of the hearts and the reds!
