P366 blog revamping

I decided to do something different with my blog today!!  I've been doing the P365/P52 for the last couple of years (and still working on last years...uggghhh) and figured it would be nice to have a separate page on my blog for that stuff!

I plan on getting a post up there with my previous projects and will be attempting to update those as I finish up last years!!

How's your P365 going so far?  Anyone up to date so far?  I'm still doing good this year but I just know if I start to fall behind, I may never catch up (kind of like last year, lol, oh and the year before).

 

P366 {February}

It's half way through March and I'm just barely posting my P366 for February!  At least I've had it done and just flaked out on the whole posting it to my blog part!!  I started out this project without using any paper for the border, however, I decided that I actually like the look so I changed it up!  So here's my recap for last month...

 

P366 {January}

I've been so behind on blogging this month!  My scrapbook software decided to randomly stop working and took over a week to get it back up and working!  Whew!  It was pretty rough not being able to scrap for over a week, but I guess it was a good thing because the sickies have been going around my family!

My new workflow plan for P366 has been working out so far.  I've taken a picture every day and was able to keep my chosen pictures organized which has proven helpful with me not being able to complete my layouts right away.  I've also continued to delete pictures that need to be deleted and correct pictures that I keep right away.  The new materialistic templates have been awesome as well. I'm happy to say that even with me not being able to scrapbook for over a week, I am already done with January!!  Yay me...I'm just hoping I keep up the momentum!

2012 P366

I have started another Project 356 this year!!  I have yet to finish last years layouts but I will finish it!!  This year I've done a few things differently with the hopes of streamlining my process.  So far it's working and I am actually up to day.  However, with it being so early in the year I have yet to see...

My new process for this project:

• I am now doing 8.5x11 layouts.  Now I can print out my own layouts and not have to send out to have my project printed.
• I am using templates (Every{day} Life Templates by Weeds & Wildflowers Design and Cinzia Designs) that are very simple and straightforward.  
• I am using minimal elements and papers.  The focus of my project is on the pictures and the journaling.  I am adding only a few embellishments and strips of paper, which make this process much easier and quicker.  

My new process for my photos:

• I upload my photos every day into my Creative Memory Manager.  I am uploading much fewer photos when I do this daily.
• I am deleting bad photos immediately.  This process is much more doable when I am only focusing on a handful of photos instead of 100+
• I am picking my photo of the day right away and tagging it as P366 2012.  Even if I don't get around to scrapping my P366, I know that I will not have to search for my picture (like I've had to do last year!!!!).
• I am doing my journaling for each picture of the day as I tag it for P366 2012.  
• I am being flexible.  This is a biggie for me!!  Last year I really struggled getting a picture EVERY day.  I would be so close each month, but it would never fail; I would always miss at least 1 day each month.  I found myself scrambling to find a picture that could work for the day I missed (I call this "fudging the date").  So this year I've decided to give myself some flexibility.  If I don't get a picture I'm not going to stress about it and simply modify my template and make sure I have something to journal for the day.  

I am hoping that this new process will help me get done with this years P366 on time!  We'll see...only time will tell!  Good luck all of you P365ers!  Are you changing your workflow process this year?  How do you do your P365, and is it working for you??  I'm up for new tips and tricks!!
