June Color Splash LO

Over at Sunshine Studio Scraps they do a monthly Color Splash.  The designers get a color scheme that they all use when creating their kits.  This is such a fun idea because you can purchase several different kits and mix and match almost like a mega kit.

The month of June is nice and sunny; filled with lots of water photos and outdoor fun!  That's why it only makes sense to have some bright primary colors to work with!  Here is what Crystal designed:

And of course you can't forget the matching word art!!

Go to Crystal's blog, Inspired Designs By Crystal, to get inspired by the amazing Creative Team that she has!  But for now take a look at my creation using this Summer Lovin kit!

I loved this kit so much I decided to use it to create my blog background!  I hope you all enjoy this as much as I have!!

Happy Scrapping!

3 LO's for a New Kit - True Love

While I may feel like I haven't really been scrapping this month I must say that I truly have!!  I must feel that way because I finished several layouts for a couple of Susan Godfrey's new kits and haven't been able to post them until today!  You're going to love these beautiful kits which as usual offer lots of variety that can be used with all different types of photos!

So here is the new release True Love (currently 50% off until Feb 19th!!)
Sold at Susan Godfrey Designs Shop

And here are the layouts that I created using this beautiful "Valentine's Day" kit.  As you can see there is really A LOT of different things that you can do with this 1 kit!

The black paper in this LO was created by simply filling a paper with black and then adding a filter to create texture.  I then used the design in the red paper as a sort of overlay to place on top of the black paper.  The title of the page is actually from a picture I took of a wall hanging at the mall and then cut out using the wand tool.

In this LO I modified the cute font that Susan created by filling the white border with paper from her kit.  I liked the light green because I wanted to bring more attention the the green items on the page.

On this LO I simply added an inked look around the edges of the paper.

Seven Months - Week 49

So as I was looking at my favorite Scrap blogs and sites I've been searching for the 2011 challenges. But then I realized that after not scrapping for several months, I'm several months behind on my already started challenges...duh!! So in order to finish my albums I must go back and do the rest of my LOs!! Don't expect to see these things arrive in any particular order though, lol!

Here is my 52 Blessings Challenge Week 49:

Shine Tori, Shine

June's My Sweet, Sweet Song Challenge's theme is "Shine Through Me"
While I had a difficult time choosing a song to use, I knew that it was going to be about my little sister and my prayer for her to cling the Jesus and let His light shine through her life!

When I started this challenge, I decided that I was going to do a two page LO each month. This is sometimes frustrating with these challenges, in the past I haven't really used pictures. But I think it's working out nicely now!

My Father's Love Letter-May

My Sweet, Sweet Song Challenge for May. This month's theme is "safe in your arms".

I have to admit that I was stuck on this months challenge! I had so many songs in mind that I just couldn't pick one. I like to use powerpoint templates from Sharefaith.com in my scrapbooking and when I came across "A Father's Love Letter" template, I had not only an idea for the song but also for the layout. I find it comforting that the God I serve is never changing and that His word is eternal. He knew me before I was even a thought and loves me more that I can even imagine. He holds me in the palm of his hand, gives me rest, and comforts my heart and soul!

Marvelous Light - March

My Sweet, Sweet Song Challenge for March's Theme is, "All my worship"

"Sin has lost it's power, death has lost it's sting. From the grave You've risen Victoriously! Into marvelous light I'm running, out of darkness, out of shame..." I love this song. It speaks so clearly of the darkness that I once lived in before I came to know Jesus. With Jesus I don't have to fear even death and know that He has removed my shame and cleansed the stains that sin had left upon me. I am so thankful for the peace that our Lord gives to those who believe in Him and love Him!
